Have you ever been in the middle of something so painful that you thought there was no way you could ever possibly be okay again? I know, it’s a little deep, but just go here with me for a moment.
Life is a beautiful thing, but sometimes it can get the best of you. I’m just being real, sometimes it hurts. I remember a time for me when I was in the middle of a whirlwind of pain. For a while, each day was hard. It was hard to get up, it was hard to smile, and it was hard to just go on with everyday life while I felt like a big part of me had died inside. At the time, it seemed as though it was the new norm and that I would feel that way forever. I thought that I would never recover. The crazy thing is, I did. I recovered. I made it. I thought I couldn’t, but I could. I thought I wouldn’t, but I did. It took one day at a time, but I woke up each day and I continued to move forward. That was all that I could do.
I’m saying this because I know that I’m not the only one who needs to know that they are going to be okay when life may be shouting the opposite. I’m not the only one who has been knocked down once or twice. We have all been there. Today, I’m saying all of this to remind you to get back up.
Yes. I said it. Get back up. You can do it. I know it feels unbearable now, but it will NOT feel that way forever. Take each day as it comes. Give yourself a place to grieve, to struggle, and to process. Surround yourself with people who love you and be honest with them about where you are. Start to envision the stronger and happier you that will come out of this season of struggle. Most importantly, keep waking up. Keep going.
It’s hard to see past the storm when it’s all around you, but that does not change the fact that there is a clear sky ahead somewhere. Some storms last longer than others, and some end quickly, but what’s important to remember is that they do always end. I need you to hold onto that today. The storm always ends. The night always eventually turns into day. You will get through this.
And when you do get through it, you’ll look back and remember how it felt to survive. You’ll remember how it felt to weather the storm. You’ll remember how it felt to get back up. And that is what will give you the strength to do it all over again.
Get back up, my friend. This world is waiting for you to stand again.

It is hard to realize this is possible when you are in the darkness we often find in life but, I agree you just have to “keep on keeping on!”. Fortunately for me, I believe God is always there for me and gives me the strength to carry on. When you believe, it is easy to praise God whenever things are going great as well.
Yes! You are right.
